Join the circle

La Forge brings together only a handful of candidates — six to eight per session. What matters is not being recommended, but being ready.

Most often, someone from the circle has paved the way for you and vouches for you. However, you may also introduce yourself — we will judge the sincerity of your approach.

What brings you to knock on the door? What do you seek to transform?

Write what comes, even clumsily. We are after your honesty, not a polished answer.

Have you ever had an intense immersion or retreat experience? How would you describe your relationship to discomfort today?

If you have never been through anything like that, simply say so: it is not a requirement.

When was the last time you said no to something that was dragging you down? How do you feel under pressure?

One precise example says more than a general principle.

Why do you seek to learn combat if your goal is peace?

The three questions that follow come from the Forge of Socrates. They expect no right answer.

What is the thing you are most afraid of missing in the forest?

What you miss is not always material.

Today, do you feel able to keep your inner calm while chaos rages around you?

Answer for today, not for the person you would like to be.
